The PRISM Unit at PhilRice serves as the center of processes and national coordination among its partner agencies, national and regional partners, and collaborators.

PRiSM was developed under the collaborative R&D project of DA and IRRI, with funding from DA-Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) from 2014 to 2018 and through Department of Budget Management (DBM) since mid-2018.

PRISM is one of the programs of the Department of Agriculture, which aims to provide interventions at both national and local levels to support rice production.

Regional Field Offices (RFOs)
RFOs conduct the field activities and are responsible for validating and managing all the data collected from their regions. RFOs coordinate with their respective Local Government Units (LGUs) to make sure that the field activities are properly implemented.

The PRiSM Unit is housed in PhilRice. It also provides support on field work activities such as validation and field visits to ensure smooth operations.

IRRI provides technical support to PRiSM operations when needed. It is one of the implementing agencies of the PRiSM project.

BPI was selected to coordinate and train pest surveillance officers and workers in the country. During research and development phases, BPI was instrumental in pushing forward the standardization of the Philippine pest surveillance system which is part of the Crop Health Component of the PRiSM project. This activity has been integrated in a new project, Pest Risk Identification and Management (PRIME), also funded by the DA through the BAR.

DA BAR is the funding agency that supported PRiSM during research and development (R&D). It is one of the staff bureaus of the DA which was established to lead and coordinate the national agriculture and fisheries R&D in the country.

DOST-ASTI provides facilities for system redundancy, data storage, data access and sharing, and high performance computer for satellite data downloading and processing capabilities.

DOST-PAGASA ensures timely availability of all pertinent and necessary meteorological data and information needed by PRiSM as well as technical support in the areas of meteorological data processing and analysis.
