The Philippine Rice Information System held its first Information Technology Workshop last April 21-22 at PhilRice Central Experiment Station in Nueva Ecija. Sixteen IT focal persons from different regions across the country were present in the said event.

Day one of the workshop focused on the theories and principles of the technology being used in the PRISM project. Participants were given an overview of the PRISM data process flow and lectures on the importance of the smartphones to the project.

On the second day, participants had hands-on training on smartphone configurations, troubleshooting and updating of electronic forms.
