Eleven PRiSM field data collectors of Ilocos are now geared up to collect and monitor rice areas in the region. For three days, the data collectors were recently trained in monitoring selected rice areas using web-based mobile applications following the updated PRiSM field protocols. They also learned good practices to follow during field data collection. These practices aimed to ensure that all data collected are accurate, complete, and consistent.

Ms. Editha Estacio, Region I PRiSM Focal Person, encourages data collectors to take a more systematic approach, to always check the accuracy of the data captured, and to be more proactive in identifying potential data gaps.

Partners from the Department of Agriculture Ilocos Region and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist Ilocos Sur also attended the said activity.
